Celebrity hairstylist, Kachay Dorsey, selected Save Me From Sun + Sweat for the styling of the male models in the RHUDE Spring 2022 runway show hosted at 'The Godfather' estate in Beverly Hills on Wednesday.
The clothing brand, RHUDE, founded in 2015 by designer Rhuigi Villaseñor, showcased the Spring/Summer 2020 collection that mixed Rat Pack, Formula 1 with surf, street and tennis prep vibes.
Kachay Dorsey is known for her multi-faceted skills as an artist, specializing in weaves, wigs, natural hair, male grooming and makeup. Kachay has worked on some amazing events such as New York Fashion Week, the BET Awards and has done the makeup for celebrities such as Meagan Good, Shameik Moore and Diona Reasonover, to name a few.
"For my male grooming kit for the RHUDE Spring/Summer 2022 fashion show, I included Sun + Sweat by Save Me From as an essential styling product," explains celebrity hair and makeup artist Kachay Dorsey.
"Prior to the show, we had a dress rehearsal and it was about 80 degrees outside, so I knew I wanted something that was gonna #1 protect their hair while out in the sun and #2 define their curls."
Men's Grooming Breakdown
To get the look, Kachay used Save Me From Sun + Sweat as a leave in conditioner as a foundation for protection and hold against the sun + heat, "Using the product as a leave in conditioner, I saturated their hair with water and applied about 2 pea sizes of product to ensure each curl got some love," Kachay explains, "Finishing it off by finger coiling their hair to define the curls."
